CHAPTERS OF LIFE

Life is an unpredictable journey
Begins with an absolved squeaky cry
Comforted by our beloved ones affectionately
Until we're old enough to help people edify.

It is an unmapped route followed naively
Where at every stage we're ecstatic to fly
And so falling down and over repeatedly
Every time holding up, as our spirits are held high.

Then you are a teenager, a door that opens inadvertently
Advises and caveats flowing in, we ignore and deny
Sometimes we do listen, but, oh so impatiently
End up failing but waiting, for yet another defy.

The next chapter, inked with emotions rather richly
At times confronting difficulties, at times feeling shy
At times all alone, at times surrounded by family
Toughened by experiences, but alas, time just passed by.

Diaries of memories we're left with, finally
Reached the final destination, breathing to die
Bidding-adieu all the well-wishers wholeheartedly
Who have constellated around, for the one-last cry.
